Ocean House sits high above Guernsey’s west coast enjoying 220-degree sea views and stunning sunsets. The house, which offers total privacy, is approached from a tranquil lane over a paved driveway bordered by hydrangeas, fuchsias and lilies leading to the impressive entrance.
The house is only a 25-minute drive from Guernsey’s capital St Peter Port on the east coast, and 10 minutes from the airport.
Tranquil countryside walks and sandy west coast beaches can be enjoyed from your doorstep.
Luxury living
The main living accommodation, with its natural wood and stone floors, occupies the ground floor of the property where the incredible panoramic sea views are enjoyed from the drawing room, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, and well-appointed study, as well as the balconies leading from these rooms.
The dining room offers comfortable and elegant dining for 12 people, and the well-designed kitchen / breakfast room provides relaxed space for casual suppers. On summer evenings the terrace to the side of the kitchen provides a lovely space for al fresco dining. Each of these areas enjoy the panoramic views.
As well as the main reception rooms, this floor houses a cosy sitting room and a well appointed study which can be used as a 5th suite if needed. The 4th bedroom suite is also on this floor.

Master suite
The incredible, spacious, and well appointed master suite on the first floor affords views over the coast and to the countryside to the south of the property. The suite offers a lounge area and terrace to relax and enjoy the views, an en suite bathroom and shower room, dressing room and a private staircase leads up to a rooftop hideaway, which is glazed on all sides. Its luxurious presentation gives a feeling of tranquillity and calm, and its views ensure a feeling of being ‘on top of the world’.
Guest bedroom suites
The guest bedrooms are superbly appointed; suite two, with its incredible views, has a sitting area with fireplace and an en suite shower room and bathroom; suite 3 is a child’s paradise which can accommodate up to 4 children on double bunks and pull out beds, while suite 4, on the ground floor, has a curved wall which envelops the bed.
Staff accommodation, storage and plant room
There is a spacious staff bed-sitting room with its own access below the snooker room. Two garages are currently used as storage rooms but could readily revert. Adjacent to the leisure suite is an easily accessible plant room where the mechanics of the house are easily accessed.

Located on the lower floor, the health suite offers a serene retreat, designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. It features a fully equipped gym, a luxurious sauna, and a steam room. The infinity pool, with its stunning vaulted ceiling, boasts views over the beautifully landscaped garden and the coastline. Just beyond the pool lies the versatile snooker and media room, perfect for both entertainment and leisure.
The attention to detail in the design of the pool is quite incredible, and through this high level of detail a constant seamless sea view is ensured. The water level is set at coping level without any sound of overflowing water and the air handling system allows the air temperature to be lowered beneath the water temperature. It is a unique pool in a unique location.
The fully equipped, air-conditioned gym is ideally located right next to the bespoke changing room. Accessed directly from the gym are the sauna and steam room which provide the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate.
Gardens
The Pool Garden, below the breakfast room, is planted with exotics. Water cascades into the Koi pool and from here flows to feed the water of the beautifully designed Japanese garden below. Replanted and extended, the garden includes both arched and flat wooden bridges, water basins, meticulously cloud pruned trees, lanterns, and a dry water garden.
Beyond the Japanese Garden is the Italian Garden. Encircled by clipped yews and a pergola, which hides the entrance to the English Garden where lavender scents the air and white doves coo from their wooden dovecote.
From here, steps lead up to the Kitchen Garden, where soft fruits, herbs and stone fruits flourish.
The gardens offer quiet, peaceful havens, dramatic vistas, cascading water, gentle pools – a setting for every mood.
