Finance is the backbone of Guernsey’s economy
Guernsey is a global finance centre and is also one of the world’s leading captive insurance centres, as well as being a major provider of international and corporate services and home to numerous firms providing international pension schemes.
Guernsey has a responsive and responsible internationally recognised regulatory regime, and is leading the way in new sectors such as green finance and fintech solutions. The island is committed to maintaining its international reputation, and is an original member of the OECD’s exchange of tax information ‘white list’. Hospitality and tourism are thriving sectors, along with retail and creative industries, reflecting a community that is making an increasing contribution to a diversifying economy.
